Apartment Therapy: June 2014 June 26 2014
Interiors blog, Apartment Therapy have done a lovely feature of my London flat. After much cleaning and sorting we were really pleased with the result!
"Stepping into the home of Tamasyn Gambell, the first thing you notice are the patterns and collections, but go deeper into the home and you will see that her use of pattern and color is united by nature themes which lend a tranquil feel ... Her home is a showcase of vintage designs that stand the test of time, with vintage furniture and lighting that are as on trend now as they were when they were designed. Tamasyn's true talent is shown in how she effortlessly blends modern shapes and bold colors to create a relaxing space ... You seem to forget the bustling open air market outside the living room window and are lost in the amazing design."

Textile designer Tamasyn Gambell, worked for Paris couture houses, including Louis Vuitton and Sonia Rykiel, before moving to Stockholm to design for H&M. She realised, however, that "having to whack out 100 prints a week just wasn't for me." She moved back to the UK six years ago to start her own business selling hand-printed scarves with bold.geometric designs. Gambell and her two assistants do the screen-printing themselves. "I've always wanted to feel the cloth and really be in control of what I do," she says.

This month's London Design Festival is packed with established and emerging talent showcasing their work across the capital, and at it's central hub, the V&A museum. British creativity is flourishing - and we've picked out some of our favourites to make sure you don't miss a thing.
Royal College of Art graduate Gambell worked for Louis Vuitton and Sonia Rykiel before setting up her own company five years ago. Art-deco inspired abstract prints in bright contrasting colours are found on her lampshades, cushions and stationary.
